Mexico Crusade Trip Update
Off To A Rough Start
This year Jennie and I are making great transition into a new season of our lives and are very excited and anticipating the coming years. As some might know since we have been married (May 2007) we have moved about 6 times. It seems as though we have been running around but the Lord is doing very precise things to position right where He wants us. We have been through a lot of testing and stretching but we know that this year is both a breakthrough year and the beginning of a new season year. I believe that the work that we have done in ministry and family for the last 3 years have placed us in the final position that we belong.
Just days after the birth of our second child, Evelyn Sadie Biles, I made the announcement about my trip to Monterrey, Mexico. Soon after her birth the family and I moved again. This time we moved to a more permanent location and do not see ourselves moving for a while. Soon after getting settled into our new home in early February I began to really plan this trip in detail. As I was gathering materials needed I learned that in the process of moving I misplaced my passport. This was a devastating discover and put a huge dent into the trip planning. I continued to look for it hoping that it would show up, but it was never recovered. So in the steps of getting a new passport I realized that the cost in ordering a passport at such a short notice to the trip was extremely expensive. With all the costs involved it appeared that the trip was going to cost way too much with the detriment of loosing my passport. Soon after the lose of my passport we began to hear reports about the safety in Mexico. We learned on several occasions that the drug gangs have taken over cities with violence and gun wars. With everything going on the past month and half my family and I have decided to hold off on going to Mexico. Keith Miller and some of the Stand Firm World Ministry team left today and we ask for you to place them in your prayers for their safety and for the Lord to touch the people they minister to. Joshua Miller (http://www.jmmfire.org) has taken my place on this trip. This has been a rough beginning of a new year but we are seeing God pull through even now!
Moving Forward
As I may have mentioned to you before I have it in my plans to be taking several trips this year. If everything goes well in Mexico this week I may continuing my plans to go to Mexico April 30th – May 3rd. Also, I will try and keep everyone up to date with ministry opportunities and advancements that Jennie and I will be taking this year. You can also check out our new website that is still being developed at http://www.bilesonline.com/. On the website coming soon you will find more information about Jennie and I as well as blogs, podcasts, and our ministry schedule. I hope that everyone understands our decision to put off the trip to Mexico and move forward making wiser decisions for future opportunities.
